Rhodiola is a flowering herb that grows in the cold, mountainous regions of Europe and Asia.
Its root has been used traditionally to increase energy, endurance, strength and mental performance. Rhodiola is well-known for its 'adaptogenic' properties that are believed to help one to better cope with physical and mental stress, thus might be helpful for conditions like anxiety, depression and fatigue. It was suggested that rhodiala could help to alleviate the symptoms of depression by balancing the neurotransmitters in our brain.
Some people take Rhodiola to improve sport performance and endurance before exercise, as it helps to enhance concentration and delay the onset mental/physical fatigue.
